A restaurant in Garganta la Olla, in the heart of La Vera, open to the public. With Argentinian roots, as well as Spanish and Italian ones, we have travelled the world in search of adventure, and this is ours.

Hi! We're Juan & Rebeca, travellers at heart and lovers of good food. That's why, after going back to our roots, we decided to create this experience for you and yours. Together with our cooks, we'll let you taste the very best of Extremaduran cuisine, made with local produce from the land. 

With an Argentinian twist, you'll also find the finest premium cuts, selected at source, for a tender, exquisite taste of our Spanish Angus. And on the Italian side, you can enjoy our Italian grandmothers' best recipes with our homemade pasta, all handmade with the finest Italian ingredients.

Desserts are an important part of our house too, which is why they carry our own signature: all original and absolutely delicious.

We want to go back to the roots of healthy cooking, with local produce and no additives or preservatives. Because we believe the future of food lies in simplicity and in going back to the origin.

I can only be grateful for the care Juan and Rebeca gave us and, from here, recognise their dedication to their business, to which they devote many hours (as we could see), and with which they have managed to create a cosy, beautiful place like La Fuente. The food was delicious. The typical Extremaduran dishes are a must: migas and patatas revolconas. Also the Extremaduran Iberian meats. I ordered pluma and was left wanting to try the sirloin. They also make excellent fresh pasta, which they very kindly served us when it was almost closing time and there were no tables anywhere else in Garganta. So I can't only highlight the food, but also the service, from Juan, from Rebeca and from the waiter who looked after us. Everything was excellent. If you're staying in their rooms, it's your best option. And if you're just passing through, too. A place to come back to and feel at home. July 2024

We ate brilliantly; we loved both the Argentinian empanadas and the homemade pasta. We were very full and couldn't tackle the desserts, but they looked very good. The place is very cosy, dogs are allowed inside and the staff are lovely. If we come back to Garganta la Olla we'll definitely return, and we recommend it 100%! September 2025

We ate here in the low season and it was wonderful. Few restaurants are open at this time of year and, since we were staying here, we decided to try their dishes: in our case rin ran, migas and entrecôte, all delicious. A wonderful experience from start to finish. The food was spectacular: top-quality produce, well-made dishes full of flavour. You can tell how much love they cook with. The atmosphere is very pleasant and cosy, with that special touch that makes you want to stay a little longer. The service was top marks: attentive, friendly and very professional. We also loved that they have coeliac-friendly options, prepared with all the care and attention needed so we could enjoy ourselves without worrying. You can tell they think about every detail. We tried several dishes and they were all delicious, from the artichokes to the meat, all cooked to perfection. Without a doubt, a place to return to and recommend.
