What to see in Garganta la Olla

Set in the La Vera region and sheltered by the Sierra de Tormantos (1,664 m), Garganta la Olla has a special charm that draws visitors from all over the world.

Its history and location make it one of the most interesting villages to visit in Extremadura.

Its origins are lost in time, which makes it a place full of stories, myths and legends that give the village a character both picturesque and mysterious.

Its architecture can easily take you back to distant times, when the Visigoths ruled these lands, or to the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, when emperors such as Charles V and his court walked its streets.

Our village is just a few kilometres from the Sierra de Gredos and the Jerte Valley, where stunning landscapes invite you to go hiking and swim in their beautiful natural pools.
